I got a DUI and a night in jail late last year. It was the first time I had ever encountered anything other than a traffic ticket here or there over my many years. Not knowing what to do, I called my wife who called the only lawyer that anyone we knew had dealt with and right off my wife didn’t like what she was hearing from bond connection (unfortunately!) but then saw Ross Sobel on Yelp with many praises so she gave him a call. Immediately she felt at ease (as much as she could be “at ease” at the moment) and though it was too late to have Ross handle getting me out of jail (it most likely would have saved me many thousands of dollars!) I called Ross the next morning and his smart and extremely helpful manner convinced me in mere minutes that Ross was my guy.
Ross is the type of person that makes you feel comfortable and confident because you know he’s telling you the truth about everything even if the truth is daunting. He doesn’t make promises about any outcomes but he has so much experience and knowledge with DUI’s that he knows exactly what we needed to do to hopefully sway a judge’s opinion.
Because I struck another car after having too many drinks and the other driver complained about her leg hurting (she did not need an ambulance or medical attention that night) I was charged with a felony and my bail was set at $100,000. I was facing the potential of having a felony on my record which pretty much would’ve ruined my career working for Fortune 500 companies and possible jail time.
Because of Ross’ guidance, that I followed to the letter, and hard work, my charge was lowered to a misdemeanor, I received no jail time (just a small amount of community service days), only a 30-day driver license suspension and I’m happily writing this review from my home.
